The word on Nini Whitaker at Virginia Intermont and other players

Jenecia(NiNi) Whitaker is freshman guard for the Virginia Intermont Cobras up in Bristol, Virginia and as to be expected it has been a big change going from Page High School to the college level but Nini is holding up well. Her team, the Cobras, have gotten off to a slow start at (0-5), but Nini is doing her part to help get this thing called women’s college hoops, turned around, and headed into the right direction on the NAIA level.
By the way(BTW), Virginia Intermont means, “Among the Mountains”, and they have a large on-campus Equestrian Center which is part of their student allure.
Here’s some of the info we were able to collect on her from the VIC(Virginia Intermont College) web site:
Nini is playing well. On this past Sunday, she scored 9 points, had 6 assists, 2 steals and 2 rebounds in a losing effort.
Nini’s dad, William Whitaker, a local high school(Southern Guilford) and AAU coach, also had two kids from his AAU team to commit: Krystal Moore (Rockingham HS) – Mars Hill College and Eleisha Hairston (Reidsville HS) Elon University.
