Jeff Hardy has a broken neck?????

Jeff Hardy did not attend an autograph session at a Best Buy in Rockford, Ill. over the weekend. The excuse given was that he broke his neck at the Smackdown tapings on Tuesday, according to the Wrestling Observer. However, the story also notes that there was no indication of Hardy suffering a serious injury during his match with Shelton Benjamin. Rather, he showed up at the television tapings with fluid in his elbow that would not drain.
Jason Powell’s Point Of View: Strange story. Hardy did not face MVP at the Supershow at Rockford on Friday night, but our correspondent noted that WWE did not offer any explanation and instead just acted as if the match was never scheduled to take place. I guess we’ll find out tonight(Sunday), whether he’s healthy enough to work, given that he is scheduled to face MVP on the SummerSlam show.
