Colt call on baseball(with Sat. update)

The Greensboro Colt team had Thursday off and not because of the weather. The had an off day in the PONY baseball Colt East Zone double-elimination tournament going on at Memorial Stadium.
Next game up for the Greensboro team is set for 3pm today at the old ballyard on Yanceyville and Lindsey Streets and the GBC battles Western Branch, Virginia. WB clobbered Long Island, New York 24-2 on Thursday and Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania stopped Rockingham County 7-2. Rockingham County is out of the tourney having lost twice and Greensboro needs that win at 3pm to hit the winner’s bracket.
If Greensboro wins Friday at 3pm then they will play in the Championhsip round beginning Saturday at 1:30pm at Memorial Stadium.*****The Greensboro Colts were losing to Western Branch 10-1 when I had to leave the game to go to the Hoppers on Friday afternoon. WB was tough but there were a ton of errors in the game.*****
