Coliseum to Be Imploded Sunday

With no major tenant, the coliseum will be imploded this Sunday. It will take approximately 550 pounds of explosives to drop the outdated and unused facility. There’s not been a major tenant in years, the city finally decided to put an end the facility. New arenas in the area basically made the coliseum un-needed.
Once cleared, the coliseum area will be converted into hotel, restaurant and retail space.
Oh, yeah, it’s in Charlotte.
